Privacy Policy for Who's In Golf
Last updated: July 2026
Who's In Golf ("the App," "we," "us") is a golf group coordination app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.
Information We Collect
When you create an account and use the App, we collect:
- Account Information: your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number
- Group and Event Data: golf groups you join or create, events, RSVP responses, and notes you add
- Score Data: golf scores, handicap index, and game results you enter during rounds
- Push Notification Token: a device identifier used to deliver notifications about events, foursomes, and RSVP reminders
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to operate the App's core features:
- Creating and managing your account
- Displaying your name and contact information to other members of your golf groups
- Coordinating events, RSVPs, and foursomes within your groups
- Calculating scores, handicaps, and game results
- Sending push notifications about events, foursomes, and RSVP deadlines
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Your name, email, and phone number (if provided) are visible to other members of golf groups you join, since the App is designed for group coordination. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
The App uses Google Firebase to store data and deliver push notifications. Firebase may process data on our behalf in accordance with Google's privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Firebase's cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Your Choices
- You can edit or remove your name and phone number at any time from the Account screen
- You can disable push notifications in your device settings
- You can delete your account at any time directly within the App, from the Account screen. When you delete your account, your personal information — including your name, email address, phone number, and notification token — is permanently removed. To preserve the integrity of shared records, your participation in past rounds and events you played with others remains visible to those group members, but is anonymized and shown as "Deleted Player." Account deletion cannot be undone.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
